使空气流量适应实际需求是系统能耗的关键因素。对于AC风机,通常可以通过打开和关闭某个风机来实现。相比之下,绿色科技EC风机具有集成的无级调速控制功能,可根据需求调节风量。在降低速度n时,功耗Pe急剧下降(P~n³)。

一个简单的计算示例说明了节省的巨大潜力:在标准运行中,并联安装4台风机,功率消耗为40kW。按年平均值计算,该装置在设计点运行时间为50%,在额定风量的一半运行时间为50%,则每年可以节能65MWh的能源。
